About The Joslyn Center
The Joslyn Center is a nonprofit hub enriching the lives of adults ages 50+ through over 50 weekly programs that support health, wellness, lifelong learning, social connection, and community engagement.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides overall leadership, strategy, financial oversight, program direction, fundraising, and community representation. This leader will inspire staff and volunteers, steward meaningful partnerships, and elevate the Center’s visibility and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and implementation of programs, services, and facility operations.
- Oversee finance, budgeting, compliance, and organizational reporting.
- Build and diversify revenue through grants, donations, sponsorships, and events.
- Recruit, develop, and support staff; foster an inclusive and mission-driven culture.
- Partner closely with the Board; support governance, committees, and planning.
- Represent the Center publicly and strengthen community relationships.
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of nonprofit leadership/management experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to inspire trust.
- Commitment to serving older adults with empathy and respect.
- Fundraising and community engagement strengths.
- Collaborative, transparent leadership approach.
Compensation
Competitive salary up to $135,000, plus generous benefits.
