This day encourages you to free yourself from lingering regrets and hurt, fostering a healthier mindset. Take this opportunity to practice forgiveness, embrace mindfulness, and actively pursue emotional liberation.

Thomas and Ruth Roy of Wellcat Herbs and Holidays are said to be the founders of the National Let It Go Day. They knew that many people live with the burden of regretful situations that quietly, yet constantly, weigh them down. The day was created to motivate people throughout the world to forgive themselves for happenings in the past and let go of their worries. It aims to highlight the ways to find positivity, contentment, and peace in life.

Regrets do little to no good; they weigh a person down; they tend to put a burden on a person’s conscience and deprive them of even the little joys of life. It is very important to learn to forgive yourself, to know when to stop blaming yourself for something, especially when there is nothing you can do to change what has already happened. The best thing to do in such a situation is to just let go of those feelings, and console yourself that there is nothing you can do about it. This will help you to move forward in life, grow, get rid of the bitterness and guilt, and allow you to make the most of life.

There may have been a time when you faked it all to show your ex, your friends, or your colleagues that you have moved on from a particular issue, but isn’t it now finally time to move on and let go of the things weighing you down? Do you need some help freeing yourself of this burden? The counselors in our Wellness Center can help you. We offer free bilingual support for any issues that you may have.

It's the time of year when Joslyn Center reaches out to our friends and donors to support nutrition service programs for older adults at risk for food insecurity. These programs include the Joslyn Community Food Bank, Morning Bites and other programs throughout the year for our members. Your donation helps ensure that we can continue to fight hunger right here in the Coachella Valley.

The campaign annually takes place at the end of season and helps support these critical services in our community during the hottest months of the year. Please consider a donation of any amount and click below to contribute.

Get ready for two exciting days of fun, friendly competition, and community spirit at the upcoming Indoor Pickleball Tournament. This special event is designed to bring together players of all skill levels for an enjoyable and energetic tournament experience.

The tournament will feature a modified Bunco-style format called “Bunco King/Queen of the Hill.” This creative format will keep players moving, rotating, and actively participating throughout the event while creating a lively and social atmosphere. Unlike a traditional bracket-style tournament, the Bunco King/Queen of the Hill format allows players to continually change partners and opponents based on results from each round. Winners stay up while others rotate, giving everyone multiple opportunities to compete, improve, and enjoy the game. The format is intended to maximize court time, encourage social interaction, and make the event enjoyable for everyone involved. The tournament is not only about competition—it is also about supporting the continued growth of pickleball at Joslyn Center.

A $10 entry fee will be collected from each participant, with all proceeds going directly toward funding improvements to our pickleball experience at Joslyn. These funds may help support future equipment, court enhancements, and other improvements that benefit our growing pickleball community. Players are encouraged to invite friends, come ready to compete, and enjoy the welcoming spirit that has made pickleball one of the most popular activities at the center. Spectators are also welcome to stop by and cheer on the participants during the tournament.

If you are interested in participating, please see Henry on Thursday or Friday from 11am to noon to sign up for the tournament. Early registration is encouraged so organizers can plan accordingly and ensure a smooth and enjoyable event for everyone. Mark your calendars now and join us for two days of exciting indoor pickleball action, laughter, and community fun. We look forward to seeing everyone on the court! Spectators are welcome.
