Last Wednesday, Savannah Ortega from Jewish Family Service was here with another session of Let's Do Lunch. All of the participants got to watch a very interesting and informative documentary all about Borneo and take a quiz on it afterward. Did you know that Borneo is shared by three countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei? Did you know that orangutans are not natural swimmers or that the sun bear is the smallest species of bear in the world? How about that Borneo lowland rainforest covers the largest portion of Borneo, encompassing about 57% of the island's land area below 1,000 meters in elevation? These are all facts that you would have learned about while dining on a wonderful box lunch from Aspen Mills.
Let's Do Lunch is at Joslyn Center the first and third Wednesday of each month. Call Savannah to sign up. Come hungry for knowledge—and maybe even a little lunch! Registration is required. 760-325-4088 x123.
